Sheikh Jasim Uddin

Chairman

Sheikh Jasim Uddin is a prominent Bangladeshi entrepreneur and business leader and the Chairman of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd. He is the son of the late industrialist Sheikh Akij Uddin, founder of Akij Group, and carries forward a strong legacy of entrepreneurship and industrial development. With over 20 years of business leadership experience, he has extensive expertise in business management, finance, operations, strategic planning, product development, and organizational leadership. He has served as a Director of Akij Group since January 1998, providing strategic direction across organizational operations, policies, budgets, business development, and resource allocation. In April 2020, he founded AKIJ Resource and served as its Managing Director and CEO, leading diversification across building materials, steel, food commodities, agriculture, shipping, and information technology. Sheikh Jasim Uddin holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK. As Chairman of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd., he brings extensive entrepreneurial and strategic leadership to the steel building and construction sector, with a strong focus on innovation, engineering excellence, quality, and sustainable growth.

Faria Hossain is a distinguished business leader and the Managing Director of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd. She also serves as the Chairman of AKIJ Resource Group, providing strategic leadership and direction across the Group’s diversified business operations. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science. As Chairman of AKIJ Resource Group, Faria Hossain has been instrumental in driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and business diversification across sectors including building materials, food commodities, logistics, technology, and other essential business solutions. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to quality, innovation, sustainable growth, and customer satisfaction. As Managing Director of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd., Faria Hossain brings her broad business experience and strategic vision to the steel building and construction industry. She is committed to strengthening Dominage’s position as a trusted provider of modern prefabricated steel building solutions through innovation, quality, operational efficiency, and customer-focused services.

Md Sheikh Sadi

Nominee Director

Md. Sheikh Sadi is the Nominee Director of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd., representing Akij Resources Ltd. He also serves as Chief Treasury Officer of Akij Resource Group, with over 31 years of experience in treasury management, corporate & trade finance with alternative finance, cash flow management, banking, and financial operations. He holds an MBA from the University of Rajshahi.

As Nominee Director, he contributes his expertise in financial management, treasury operations, capital planning, and financial oversight, supporting sound decision-making and sustainable growth.

Shobrata Kumar Roy

Nominee Director

Shobrata Kumar Roy CMA is the Nominee Director of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd., representing Akij Resources Ltd. He looks after Internal Audit of Akij Resource Group, with over 18 years of experience in audit, risk management, internal control, compliance, and corporate governance. He holds B.Com (Hons.) and M.Com in Accounting, along with CA (CC), ITP and CMA (Australia).

As Nominee Director, he contributes his expertise in audit, risk assessment, compliance, and financial governance, supporting effective decision-making and sustainable growth.

Md. Masum Billah

Nominee Director

Md. Masum Billah is the Nominee Director of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd., representing Akij Resources Ltd. He also serves as Company Secretary of Akij Resource Group, with over 13 years of experience in corporate governance, statutory compliance, Board affairs, and regulatory matters. He holds BBA and MBA from the University of Chittagong, along with LLB, PGDTM, CA (CC) and CS certification.

As Nominee Director, he contributes his expertise in governance, compliance, Board oversight, and regulatory affairs, supporting effective decision-making and sustainable growth.

Tapan Chandra Banik

Independent Director

Mr. Tapan Chandra Banik was born in 1959 in a well reputed Hindu family at Kishorgonj Sadar, Kishorgonj, Bangladesh. He graduated from Chittagong University in Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1980 and completed Masters of Arts (MA) in Economics from Chittagong University in 1981.

He became Independent Director of DSBSL on September 2019. Mr. Tapan Chandra Banik also served as Additional Secretary of Ministry of Public Administration Govt. of Bangladesh. He has vast experience in administration and Management.

Md. Mizanur Rahman

Independent Director

Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Independent Director of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd. was born in 1967 in a respectable Muslim family. He graduated in MBA in Marketing & Finance and achieved Doctor of Philosophy in Foreign Direct Investment in Bangladesh trend and Performance from Dhaka University.

Md. Mizanur Rahman has rendered valuable professional service as Professor and Chairperson to various reputed Institute in Bangladesh. He became Independent Director of Dominage Steel Building Systems Ltd. in the year 2020.
